My journey from aspiring artist to bridal beauty specialist
I’ve been self-employed in bridal beauty for many years. Prior to working for myself I worked for YSL, Clinique and Bare Minerals. Prior to this Styling retail displays, shop windows and delicately teetered on tall ladders putting up never ending sale banners! Prior to that I designed & constructed costumes for various stage and theatre productions. Prior to this I was in College studying Costume design and Make up while working in Xtra-Vision, scrutinising costume and make up in the movies and fantasising about my NOW career!!
My interest in make up generated with a poorly executed face-paint as a child. I must have complained so much about the superior job I would have done as Santa brought me the Usborne book of Face painting which is still in my possession and some kryolan face paints. (my early work will remain a mystery) Along with religious viewing of Stars in their eyes transformations and a long battle with adult acne and access only to chemist brands of the time…Rimmel? Max factor? My first fancy make up was Elizabeth Arden flawless finish! With all this and a few other Jobs thrown into the mix I’ve found myself to be a fairly handy member of the wedding morning prep team! From providing crochet hooks for those tiny back buttons to carrying an often required needle and thread in my kit to body-taping and beyond my primary role on your wedding day is to have you looking and feeling sensational! Secondary to this I have been known to get on with some nitty gritty tasks that can occur in the final hour.

The wedding morning should feel like a celebration, not a countdown clock. I’ll arrive on time to set up my kit and help create a calm, happy space where you and your bridal squad can relax, and enjoy every moment! we work to a non regimental schedule. I am with you from early morning until the final finishing touches before you walk down the aisle. Depending on the size of your bridal party and ceremony time your prep could take anywhere from four to seven hours. If I have all info at the enquiry stage I can give a rough idea of what the morning timings might look like.
Bridal Trial
Bridal trial is optional this takes place in Kildare town, just a short walk from Kildare Village. This is a collaborative process where we work together to design your ideal bridal look, ensuring your voice is heard and your vision is brought to life. A trial is absolutely not essential and you are never under any pressure to book one in. Bridal trials take place on Specific trial dates which booked in brides are notified of which several months notice to choose a suitable date and time. A trial takes approx 1.5-2 hours. After the trial you receive Photos and product notes/ preferences so that we can keep all correspondence in one place for easy reference on the wedding day.
